More dominoes are falling at quarterback in the 2024 college football recruiting class as Nebraska football is trending for a flip and more.

A lot of things are happening when it comes to quarterbacks in the 2024 college football recruiting class and we are starting the see the impact of Dylan Raiola’s commitment earlier this week.

Nebraska football was probably the runner-up, in the end, for Raiola, but now that the Huskers are free to pursue other quarterbacks, they have become the favorite to land three-star signal caller Daniel Kaelin, the No. 4 player in the state of Nebraska.

Kaelin was committed to Missouri and it seemed like he was really solid. Yet, Nebraska football clearly holds a special place in the heart of the Bellevue West prospect who has officially decommitted, saying it was a really hard decision.

Steve Wiltfong put in a crystal ball projection for the Huskers and two others have followed. The On3 prediction machine also gives Nebraska football a 96-percent chance and a commitment to Matt Rhule and company seems like just a matter of time.

Missouri also offered a new quarterback Friday morning, Aidan Glover (1,000th overall) so you could see the writing was on the wall.

For Nebraska football, after missing on Raiola, landing Kaelin is the ideal scenario and a huge victory for Rhule if all the predictions prove correct.

More QB news for 2024 college football recruiting class

Speaking of predictions that should prove correct in the 2024 college football recruiting class, Michael Van Buren is expected to commit on Saturday and Oregon is still the favorite.

Penn State was viewed as the leader not long ago but has offered Tyler Cherry and Ethan Grunkemeyer recently.

Grunkemeyer, a three-star quarterback is also pursued heavily by Clemson, which has missed on a number of quarterbacks in the 2024 class.

Cherry has received a slew of crystal ball projections to Duke. Penn State offered him recently too. Indiana and Michigan State are also listed as “warm” on his 247 Sports profile, but the Blue Devils seemed poised to land the four-star QB ranked 360th overall and 23rd among QBs.

Kaelin doesn’t have a commitment date, but my guess is that he commits to Nebraska football soon. Van Buren seems like to choose Oregon and then, we’ll see what those dominoes mean for the rest of the quarterbacks in the 2024 college football recruiting class.
