I had a tough time with this one. I don’t think Auburn is going to be all that good this season, but it just feels like a game that will trip up the Rebels.

Hugh Freeze is in charge now and the offense should improve with better coaching, but this is a game that Ole Miss will lose rather than Auburn winning. Jaxson Dart was clutch against Arkansas the previous week, but he’ll throw a couple of critical interceptions late in this one to lead to a loss.

Auburn is very beatable, but Ole Miss will slip up.

Prediction: Loss (4-3, 1-3)

Vanderbilt is arguably the worst team in the SEC but the Commodores did improve rather drastically in 2022 under Clark Lea. After going just 2-10 in his first year at Vandy, Lea led the Commodores to a 5-7 record in 2022.

But that improvement still won’t be enough for them to come into Oxford and steal a win from the Rebels.

Vanderbilt lost by 24 at home against Ole Miss last year and only won two SEC games and I can see them losing by even more in Oxford this year although I think three SEC wins are attainable.

Prediction: Win (5-3, 2-3)
