Clemson, USC, and Georgia on fire after college football recruiting’s first official visit weekend
USC football also has momentum
Another team that’s got clear momentum coming out of the first visit weekend in June is USC football which has already landed some commitments and is trending in the right direction with some others.
If it wasn’t for the huge commitment of Brown, USC football would be the biggest winner from last weekend because they are on a roll.
In the past two days, the Trojans have landed five commitments — five. Four are ranked as four-star prospects or higher and two (CB Dakoda Fields and EDGE Kameryn Fountain) are ranked in the top 100 in the 2024 college football recruiting class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.
USC also got a commitment on Monday from 6-foot-5, 290-pound Manasse Itete, a four-star offensive tackle. That’s in addition to safety Jarvis Boatwright announcing his pledge on Sunday along with three-star offensive tackle Hayden Treter.
Another huge positive for USC football is that the No. 1 running back in 2024, Taylor Tatum, also had a really good visit. Michigan and Oklahoma are firmly in the mix, but the Trojans lead via the On3 prediction machine and right now, I feel that’s pretty accurate.
Just like with Clemson, it’s safe to say USC football knocked it out of the park.
