Big Ten football power rankings: Post-spring 2023 edition
Greg Schiano is realizing that turning Rutgers football around two times is no easy task. He’s just 12-22 in three seasons since returning to the program where he went 68-67 in 11 years from 2001-2011.
Gavin Wimsatt will likely be the starting quarterback and the former four-star will have an uphill battle in front of him. The offense has been fairly yawn-inducing over the past few years while the defense has been much better. This side of the ball may carry the team again.
Nebraska is probably the biggest wildcard of any team in the Big Ten West — or the Big Ten in general. Matt Rhule takes over a program that could never seem to get off the ground under Scott Frost or Mike Riley and he is already bringing in some solid players like Jeff Sims, Arik Gilbert, Billy Kemp, and the No. 24 recruiting class in the country.
Will this translate to wins right away? I’m not so sure.
I am, however, buying stock in Nebraska being a bowl team this season which will be a nice change for fans.
