Dylan Edwards is going to have the biggest role early on, in my opinion, because Colorado needs a boost in the run game after a horrendous 2022 season.

Deion Sanders has brought in some talented running backs like Sy’Veon Wilkerson from Jackson State, Alton McCaskill from Houston, and Kavosiey Smoke from Kentucky. But I think Edwards may have the highest ceiling of the bunch outside of maybe McCaskill.

I would not be shocked to see Edwards take over the starting job this season but he’ll be battling it out with three veterans with plenty of talent as well.

The Under Armour All-American is ranked No. 173 overall in the class and he’s the 11th-best running back. He’s not the biggest back, but he’s shifty and can be utilized in the passing game. His versatility will keep him on the field.

Will Edwards split carries? Absolutely, but I could see him as the RB1 by the end of the year.
