Texas A&M football might be closer than ever to landing its 2024 quarterback as three-star Miles O’Neill has received a number of crystal balls on 247Sports to land with the Aggies.

This comes as a bit of a surprise because he still has some official visits to take such as Michigan State and Boston College and the Spartans were actually one of the first Power Five schools to discover the three-star from Princeton, N.J.

A handful of crystal balls have rolled in over the past couple of days in favor of the Aggies and this is the type of quarterback that may not open any eyes, on paper, just yet, but I’d be shocked if he didn’t jump in the recruiting rankings by this time next year.

O’Neill picked up an offer from Michigan State on May 8 and then a number of programs followed in the hours and days after. In fact, he picked up offers from Boston College, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Pitt, Texas A&M, and Penn State in the days and weeks following that MSU offer.

Texas A&M football will have to hope O’Neill doesn’t “love” MSU

Michigan State was always the team that I thought would give Texas A&M the biggest battle for O’Neill. He has a trip to East Lansing on June 16.

If he leaves that trip to Michigan State and hasn’t committed to the Spartans, I really like Texas A&M’s chances here.

O’Neill isn’t the highest-rated guy right now, but he’s gone from unranked this spring to No. 852 overall and he’s the No. 53 quarterback in the 2024 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
