USC football has high expectations going into the 2023 season and here are three freshmen from a top-10 recruiting class that will make an impact early.

Lincoln Riley’s first full recruiting class — the 2023 recruiting class — produced some great results for the USC football program, just like his first season on the job.

People sort of mocked USC football for paying Riley what they did. Yet, it was obvious early on he was worth every penny. Hell, Riley will probably get a raise and an extension before too long.

Restoring USC football to its glory days wasn’t going to be easy. But in this new era of the transfer portal, it didn’t take that long. The Trojans turned around and signed one of the top recruiting classes in 2023 and here are three that will have big impacts for the Trojans this season.

TE Duce Robinson

These players aren’t ranked in any particular order in terms of their impact. However, I’m convinced that college football fans will know the name Duce Robinson by November.

The kid is just too good. He’s 6-foot-6, 225 pounds. He was also extremely prolific in high school and with Caleb Williams throwing him the football, I can easily see Robinson being a threat.

The tight end position is one where USC football needed to add a playmaker and Robinson is as good as it gets. It might take him a minute to get his feet wet, but there are few players like Robinson in college football and Riley will find a way to take advantage of him.
