Dominant Stat: 99 Play Recognition

There’s really never been a better time to be a nostalgic college football fan than right now. Whether you’re looking at Joey Porter Jr. in last year’s draft class, Frank Gore Jr., Marvin Harrison Jr., or Clemson’s star linebacker, Jeremiah Trotter Jr. there are plenty of players we grew up playing as in Madden that now have kids we can play as in NCAA Football.

The younger Trotter excels at diagnosing plays and finding his spots. PFF had him as the only linebacker in the country last year with 80 grades in both pass-rushing and pass coverage. That combination of skill is reminiscent of Micah Parsons who is simultaneously the Dallas Cowboys’ best pass-rusher and best option for covering tight ends and running backs.

If you’re looking to revive a college football program that hasn’t been to the National Championship in a couple of years, or maybe force Clemson to get with the times and actually utilize the transfer portal and do so with an absolute monster at linebacker, then this may be your squad.
