Blake Corum RB Michigan

Dominant Stat: 99 Speed & 99 Acceleration

Blake Corum probably would also have received a 99 Toughness stat. He injured his left knee against Illinois in 2022 and then tried to play on it against Ohio State. He took a few snaps but the injury was so bad it held him out of the Big Ten Championship and Michigan’s College Football Playoff game, but he chose to play on it in the rivalry game against the Buckeyes. If that’s not tough, I’m not sure what is.

Blake Corum also had the highest-rated season according to PFF since they began grading players. Not the highest-rated season for a running back, but the highest-rated season for a player in a Power-Five college football conference. The next closest three players to his 96.2 grade were all top-five draft picks in the NFL: Kyle Pitts, Chase Young, and Quinnen Williams, not bad company.

Michigan is an ideal NCAA Football Dynasty team in a similar vein to USC. They’ve got the history, and they’ve got the players right now, but they haven’t had the dominant success recently that makes them unfun to carry to the mountaintop. You’d obviously be leaning on JJ McCarthy a fair amount as well, but Blake Corum would need to have Heisman-type stats if you wanted the Wolverines to come away as champions, and as a 99 overall he’d certainly be capable.
