To say Mike Norvell has turned Florida State football around would be an understatement. The fourth-year head coach has improved each season in Tallahassee and so have his recruiting classes.

It’s hard to believe that fans were calling for his head when he lost Travis Hunter to Deion Sanders and Jackson State. But he has won everyone back with his successful 2022 campaign.

Not just that, but Florida State looks to be a top-10 team heading into 2023.

The Seminoles look like one of the top College Football Playoff contenders and Norvell is recruiting at an elite level. Basically, he’s doing exactly what he was hired to do back in 2020.

And now he’s trending for some of the top prospects in the 2024 class after a month of official visits. The current No. 20 recruiting class that Florida State boasts could be on the rise in the very near future.

Florida State football projected to land an elite offensive tackle

Florida State hasn’t landed a 2024 class commitment since April, but it looks like that’s about to change, especially if you believe the 247Sports crystal ball.

On Saturday night, Florida State received a crystal ball to land top-100 offensive tackle Jonathan Daniels which came three months after Steve Wiltfong’s. And on Sunday, the Seminoles received three more crystal balls to land the No. 99 overall recruit in the class.

Daniels was on an official visit this weekend and, from the looks of it, he may be close to committing to the Seminoles’ 2024 class. He’d mark Florida State’s first summer 2023 pledge.

The Pensacola, Fla., product also took trips to Georgia and Kentucky, but I’d be willing to say the Seminoles are officially on commit watch.
