Worst Case Scenario for Texas football

As previously mentioned, there are five games on the schedule that I would consider “losable” for Texas in 2023. Baylor and TCU are scary road games for just about anyone, especially an in-state conference matchup that will prove to be an especially electric atmosphere.

The rivalry with Oklahoma is generally a tight game that comes down to a key play here or there, and the Sooners will have revenge on their minds in this one. Kansas State is just a solid team that will give the Longhorns problems and force them to play a great game to beat them.

Of course, we know all about Alabama and that it will take a near-perfect performance to come out of that one victorious. The worst-case scenario in my mind is an 8-4 record. I do not see Texas football losing all five of these games, but if the season’s momentum is headed in the wrong direction it could lead to a string of losses.
