Washington football may be close to landing its 2024 class QB
After a grueling start to the 2024 recruiting class, Washington football looks like it’s starting to get red-hot after a big weekend.
In fact, the Huskies have gone from one commitment just a week ago to six as of June 26. They have picked up commitments from four-star receiver Jason Robinson, three-star linebacker Khmori House, three-star tight end Decker DeGraaf, three-star receiver Justice Williams, and three-star defensive lineman Omar Khan.
Soon, though, it looks like they could be landing even more top targets.
One of those targets could be the quarterback of the future who was just on campus for an official visit this past weekend.
Three-star quarterback Dermaricus Davis from Rancho Cucamoga, Calif., has been crystal balled twice to Washington on Monday and it looks like the Huskies may have found their guy.
He’s ranked the No. 45 quarterback in the class and California’s 59th-best prospect, according to 247Sports. Not all recruiting services have ranked Davis yet, but he may be one of those under-the-radar prospects. I mean, Kalen DeBoer does know quarterbacks (see: Michael Penix Jr.).
It’s amazing how much can change in just a few days.
Washington football recruiting is getting hot
A week ago, Washington had the No. 97 recruiting class in the country. On Monday afternoon, the Huskies were sitting at No. 61 nationally and they’re trending for a handful of targets.
This No. 61 class should soon rise into the top 50.
I wrote a couple of days ago about how Washington fans needed to be patient because a hot streak is coming, and it looks like I was right. We may see a flurry of Husky commits over the next couple of days and weeks.
