Kentucky football has the No. 53 recruiting class in the country, according to the composite.

But that’s going to change very soon.

In fact, the Wildcats are trending for three four-stars who each picked up crystal balls for Kentucky on Friday. The Wildcats’ 2024 class only has one four-star commit thus far.

Brian Robinson is the best of the bunch, leading the way at No. 105 in the country and he’s the ninth-best edge rusher. Michigan was the presumed leader for him all along, but the Wildcats picked up a crystal ball for him on Friday from Kentucky insider Josh Edwards. He visited Lexington on June 9.

Next is Elijah Groves who 247Sports is very high on. He’s the No. 144 recruit in the nation and the 14th-best linebacker, according to the recruiting service. He’s committing on July 1 and choosing between Kentucky, Purdue, and NC State.

Lastly, there’s four-star cornerback Terhyon Nichols from Cincinnati, Ohio. He’s announcing on July 2 and he also received a crystal ball from Edwards on Friday. Nichols is ranked the No. 274 overall recruit in the class and Ohio State, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Michigan, Penn State, and Pitt are also high on his list.

Kentucky football could have a huge month

After a modest June, Kentucky looks like it might just break out on the trail in July, especially with two of these guys committing in the first couple of days of the month.

Stoops is doing a really good job, it seems, with official visits and these guys are all looking like they’re closer to becoming Wildcats. I can see Kentucky adding two four-stars this week and potentially stealing Robinson from Michigan.

That would be a heck of a haul and it’d get Kentucky recruiting back on track after a slow start.
