1. Clemson football

College football fans and pundits have been trying to kick dirt on the grave of the Clemson football team for the past two seasons.

But the Tigers are alive and well. As much as people want to forget it, they are the defending ACC champions. Clemson football also landed two five-star commitments in the 2024 college football recruiting class in June, which is why the Tigers are our biggest winner for the month.

Landing Sammy Brown, an elite linebacker was huge. He’ll be the centerpiece of the Tigers’ defense and basically every college football powerhouse wanted him.

Not only that, Clemson football was able to land five-star wideout Bryant Westco. Not only did the Tigers get two five-stars, but they also added five total commitments ranked in the top 180.

TJ Moore is a stellar wideout ranked 151 overall. Darien Mayo is ranked 180th as an EDGE and Clemson football beat out Michigan and Ohio State for his commitment. They also got a top-15 safety in Ricardo Jones.

It was an impressive month and a reminder that Dabo Swinney’s program isn’t going anywhere as a college football recruiting power, at least not anytime soon.
