Clemson Football: 3 reasons the Tigers will make the playoff in 2023
3. The return of the high-powered offense
Cade Klubnik began his career as a starter mid-season last year. He saw action off and on throughout the remainder of the year as DJ Uiagalelei was benched due to poor performance periodically. Two standout performances from Klubnik include the ACC championship game as he threw for 279 yards to go along with a touchdown in a big win, and the Orange Bowl against Tennessee in which he threw for 320 yards.
This is certainly a limited sample size, but Tiger fans should be cautiously optimistic about Klubnik starting in 2023.
I think it is safe to say this will be an upgrade at the position, and the schedule allows for him to ease into the role before some of the big games start to hit. There are plenty of other weapons on this offense and if Klubnik can be the next great quarterback at Clemson, they can put up a lot of points.
For this reason along with the others, Clemson will be a handful for their opponents this season and I fully expect them to land a trip to the College Football Playoff this season.
