5. LSU Tigers

I may be higher on LSU than most, but the Tigers have all the pieces that make a great national title contender.

For one, they have one of the best quarterbacks in the country in Jayden Daniels who seemed to get better as the year went on last season. He finished with 2,913 yards and 17 touchdowns and just three picks as well as 885 rushing yards and 11 more touchdowns. Daniels was one of the most electric dual-threats in the nation.

The Tigers also bring in the No. 5 recruiting class in the country to go along with the top transfer class. While the recruiting class is great, the transfer class is going to have a major impact right away.

In fact, LSU has eight four-star transfers coming in as well as a five-star (Denver Harris), according to 247Sports. That talent is going to pay major dividends.

I’m buying all the stock in LSU this season and I think they could be a legit playoff threat under Brian Kelly.
