Kansas football looks to get to another bowl game.

How is a team that finished with a losing record one of the best stories in college football? When that team is the Kansas Jayhawks. Head coach Lance Leipold has done outstanding work in Lawrence. Kansas football was winless in 2020 but found themselves in a bowl game three seasons later.

The best part of the story is how entertaining the season was for Kansas. This team took on the attitude of its head coach. They played hard every week, even when they were outmatched. The offense was entertaining, and they put points on the board.

As a result, Kansas football found itself in a bowl game for the first time since 2008. The Jayhawks started the season white hot going 5-0. Injuries and the schedule caught up with them as they went 1-6 to end the season. Three losses (including the Liberty Bowl) were by ten or fewer points.

What has the Kansas football faithful excited is they’ve had a taste of winning, and they are still building. There are holes in the roster, and they still need to develop depth. One thing is for sure; it’s going to be fun.

Will the Jayhawks have their first winning season since 2008? Here is a look at the offense, defense, and a look at the schedule.
