Can the Kansas football offense stay healthy?

The offense carried Kansas football in 2022. The Jayhawks were one of the most prolific offenses in college football last season. Kansas was 32nd in total yards, 21st in scoring offense, 43rd in passing offense, and 39th in rushing offense.

More importantly, Kansas was fun to watch on offense. Andy Kotelnicki’s scheme put a lot of points on the board.

Kansas football has a legitimate superstar in quarterback Jalon Daniels. When he’s healthy, there are few players in college football as exciting. However, backup Jason Bean showed he could play at a high level. Bean could start for almost every team in the Big 12.

If Daniels stays healthy, he’s a Heisman Trophy candidate. Most everyone is back on offense and will be electric again in 2023. That said, the success and failure of the Jayhawks rests on the health of Daniels. Bean was outstanding in relief of Daniels, but the offense is just different with Daniels.

The offensive line play was tremendous both in pass pro and run blocking. The running back rotation gets a boost with Daniel Hishaw, Jr. returning from injury. All four of its top receivers return.

Expect a lot of points again this fall.
