Georgia Football recruiting at an unfair level right now
Georgia football landed another five-star defender in Justin Williams on Monday night and the Bulldogs are recruiting at a level that’s basically unfair.
For most college football programs, landing a five-star commitment would be major news. But for Georgia football, it was just another Monday as the Bulldogs landed five-star linebacker Justin Williams.
Out of Conroe, Texas, Williams is the 11th-ranked recruit overall in the 2024 recruiting class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He’s also the No. 1 linebacker and the second-ranked player in the Lone Star State.
Oregon was heavily involved along with Alabama and a bunch of others. Williams is a projected first-round pick, which is another reason he makes sense for Georgia football as the Bulldogs are just dominating the recruiting landscape right now.
The addition of Williams adds to their lead for the No. 1 spot in the 2024 team rankings. Both 247 Sports and On3 have the Bulldogs well ahead of anyone else in the 2024 class.
Georgia football does have a lot of commitments — 26 to be exact. However, four of those are five-star recruits, while there are also 16 four-star commitments. That’s a whopping 20 blue-chippers and the Bulldogs are far from finished.
Despite the fact that Georgia football has the No. 1 quarterback in the 2024 class (Dylan Raiola), the No. 1 cornerback (Ellis Robinson IV), and now Williams, who is the top-ranked linebacker, UGA has the chance to add the top-ranked players (according to On3.com) at three other positions — running back, defensive line, and safety.
K.J. Bolden is a major Georgia lean and is seventh overall in the class via the 247 Sports composite rankings. Williams Nwaneri has a crystal ball for Oklahoma and he’s not visiting Georgia this weekend, but it’s hard to count the Bulldogs out for anyone.
Nate Frazier is ranked as a five-star running back via the On3 rankings and he’s also been trending with projections to Georgia football. So the No. 1 recruiting class is likely going to get even better.
That’s why it’s almost unfair at this point for Georgia. Others are recruiting close to the Bulldogs level, but you start to wonder how any team is going to slow down this dynasty.
