1. Johnny Manziel planned to take his own life

Near the end of the documentary, Johnny Manziel admitted that he was spiraling big time. He was spending a ton of money after he left the game of football and he was doing drugs left and right. Johnny Football was a shell of his former self and he didn’t even look like the same person just months after getting cut by the Browns.

Manziel admitted that his goal was to spend as much money as possible and then end his own life. He admitted that he had the gun that he planned on doing it with.

Just a wild situation and fortunately, he opted to turn to his father for help and that saved his life. He went back home where he didn’t exactly feel welcome after he burned a ton of bridges and he asked for his parents’ help.

This is a perfect opportunity to say that depression is no joke and if you’re ever feeling like your life doesn’t matter, ask for help. Reach out to family and friends or even professionals. No one wants to lose you. You’re not a burden.

Manziel reached out to family even when he felt like it was his time and he’s still here today. Never give up.
