Georgia Football: Schedule & Predictions
The Georgia Bulldogs will open up the season at home against FCS school Tennessee-Martin on September 2nd. It’ll be their first of four consecutive home games to open up the season. They won’t be tested until the third week of the season when they host South Carolina who is coming off of a successful season in what was a huge step forward in the Shane Beamer era.
Game 1: vs Tennessee-Martin (W) — This game should provide Georgia with an easy W and an opportunity to break in some new players.
Game 2: vs Ball State (W) — This is a second consecutive warm-up game for the Georgia Bulldogs and they will grab another easy victory in this one over Ball State
Game 3: vs South Carolina (W) — this game against the Gamecocks will be their first real test of the season. However, with them playing at home, Georgia should grab themselves a third consecutive victory to open up the year.
Game 4: vs UAB (W) — It is a return to the warm-up games for Georgia here in week four against UAB. The Bulldogs should have no problem getting to 4-0 on the season as they get ready to head into the meat of their SEC schedule.
Game 5: at Auburn (W) — Auburn has been less than impressive over the last few seasons and there won’t be much competition for Georgia in this game either. However, it could be closer than Georgia fans would like because they are playing away from home for the first time this season.
Game 6: vs Kentucky (W) — Kentucky has been decent over the last few seasons but with the graduation of quarterback Will Levis, they won’t be much of a challenge for Georgia. The Bulldogs should roll to 6-0 on the year.
Game 7: at Vanderbilt (W) — Georgia goes on the road for only the second time this season, but Vanderbilt won’t prove to be too tough of a task. Georgia should roll 7-0 with another victory over Vandy.
Game 8: at Florida (Jacksonville) (W) — For the first time in a long time Georgia gets a real test in the form of their rivals. This will likely be their second-toughest game of the season, but Georgia should prevail with another victory.
Game 9: vs Missouri (W) — A return to the status quo for the Bulldogs, and this one is Georgia likely gets an easy victory over Missouri at home.
Game 10: vs Ole Miss (W) — This game can prove to be a tougher challenge than Georgia would imagine but in the end, the Bulldogs should have enough firepower to grab a victory over Ole Miss on their home turf.
Game 11: at Tennessee (L) — Unlike most years, instead of playing a warm-up opponent before they face off with Georgia Tech, they get their toughest test of the season. It’ll prove to be a terrible test, as Tennessee picks up the victory at home against Georgia.
Game 12: at Georgia Tech (W) — Georgia will take out their frustrations from the Tennessee loss on their archrivals and pick up a commanding victory over the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech to wrap up the regular season.
Prediction: 11-1, 7-1 SEC (SEC East Champs)
