I have Iowa fans just ahead of rival Nebraska fans because they had a really good season, attendance-wise, and finished 11th in the nation in average capacity. They averaged 100 percent capacity for the season and everyone knows that winning in Iowa City is tough.

If you’re an opposing team going into Iowa City, you better hope it’s a noon kickoff and Iowa is average, at best. Even when that’s the case, these fans show up and cause problems for visiting teams.

Playing at Kinnick is a nightmare more often than not because the fans pack the stadium and they’re loud. They make their presence felt.

I honestly don’t even remember a time when a ranked opponent went into Kinnick and won a game at night. It just doesn’t happen.

And Iowa fans have a heavy presence on social media and they travel to neutral site games very well.

I haven’t met too many Iowa fans that I haven’t liked.
