Florida International and Louisiana Tech won a combined seven games in the 2022 college football season, so both programs can’t wait for Week 0.

Every program has reasons for optimism heading into the season and that’s true for both the Panthers and Bulldogs, who despite their struggles, are both just a few wins away from getting back to a bowl game.

Sonny Cumbie and the Bulldogs had a decent offense even last season. Quarterback Hank Bachmeier is going to be the starter and the former Boise State transfer should be a good fit for the Air Raid offense.

Louisiana Tech isn’t going to be 100 percent with some running backs out. The defense was also just as bad as FIU’s, which ranked 127th in scoring. Louisiana Tech was 128th.

However, FIU didn’t have a top-100 offense. Grayson James is back as the starting quarterback. He threw for over 1,900 yards but had 11 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Both teams seem excited about the Week 0 matchup and here’s a guide to FIU vs. Louisiana Tech.
