NC State isn’t expected to be quite as good as it was a season ago, starting the season outside of the AP Top 25, but Dave Doeren will undoubtedly have a competitive team yet again. The Wolfpack bring in Brennan Armstrong at quarterback and I can see him improving that offense which finished 104th last year.

Even though this will be a tough place for Notre Dame to play, I just don’t see the offense doing a complete turnaround as the Wolfpack just won’t be able to keep up.

Prediction: Win (3-0)

I’m not sure even Central Michigan fans know what to expect from their team this season. The Chippewas finished 4-8 last season under Jim McElwain and they bring back four starters on offense and nine on the defensive side of the ball.

While Central’s defense may be solid, I do think that its offense will struggle. Sam Hartman will still find a way to pick up apart that solid secondary.

Prediction: Win (4-0)
