New Mexico State vs. UMass: TV Channel, live stream, odds, injuries, weather, series history

College football is back!
Week 0 might sound like a made-up thing that doesn’t count, but nothing could be further from the truth. Only a handful of teams are getting their season started this weekend with both New Mexico State and UMass among the teams tasked with ushering in a new season.
There are only seven games on the Week 0 schedule this year, with UMass and New Mexico State batting clean-up in the slate. The matchup will follow UTEP-Jacksonville State and Navy-Notre Dame, the latter kicking off the day and taking place overseas in Ireland.
No international travel is required for this matchup, though, just a little coast-to-coast trek for UMass.

New Mexico State vs. UMass weather report (Updated August 24th)
It’s going to be a hot start to the college football season — literally. Temperatures are expected to be in the high 90s on Saturday, only slightly dipping as kickoff rolls around.
The good news is that aside from the heat, the weather is shaping up to be bright and sunny, which is perhaps a perfect metaphor for how we all feel about college football arriving back in our lives.
New Mexico State vs. UMass series history
Saturday night will mark only the third time that New Mexico State and UMass have met. For the Minutemen’s sake, perhaps the third time is the charm for getting a win.
In their two meetings, the Aggies have dominated UMass with a 44-27 victory being the way things were kicked off back in 2021. Things weren’t nearly as dramatic the second time around, but the Aggies still managed a 23-13 victory.
Any UMass faithful looking for some small sliver of silver lining, at least the margin of victory for New Mexico State is trending down.
For what it’s worth, the series is making its first repeat appearance at Aggies Memorial Stadium, as last year’s game saw the two teams do battle in Amherst in the crispness of fall.
Hopefully, for UMass, the temperature isn’t the only thing drastically different in this third meeting.
