Notre Dame football fans are in love with Sam Hartman
Notre Dame football fans have been excited for the debut of quarterback Sam Hartman and his first half exceeded even their expectations.
With the addition of quarterback Sam Hartman via the transfer portal this offseason, Notre Dame football fans have felt like their team could be a real playoff contender.
After all, the Irish have had some really good teams recently, but the one thing the Irish have been missing is an elite quarterback.
Well, if the first half against Navy is any indication, Notre Dame football found the quarterback it’s been looking for as Hartman has Irish fans in love following what was essentially a perfect first half of football by the former Wake Forest transfer.

Navy isn’t a powerhouse or anything, but the Irish were 20-point favorites. This game was expected to be somewhat competitive. However, Hartman has had other ideas and completed 14-of-17 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns on the way to a 28-0 halftime lead.
The Notre Dame football running game has been pretty effective too, which always makes a quarterback look good and the first two touchdowns of the game came on the ground as the Irish have been dominating, as they should, up front.
Hartman has also had plenty of time to survey the field and with an underrated group of wideouts, at least a group that’s much more talented than any he played with at Wake Forest, the first half for Hartman was like shooting fish in a barrel.
The first touchdown from Hartman in a Notre Dame football uniform was an absolute dime to freshman Jaden Greathouse for a 35-yard score.

Hartman wasn’t done wowing fans though, tossing another touchdown pass to Jayden Thomas. The Irish had the ball on offense four times and scored four touchdowns.

Yes, it’s just Navy, but this is also Hartman’s first game with this team. He’s only going to get more comfortable with these guys and seeing their team have a legit quarterback has Notre Dame football fans over the moon. (By the way, it’s 35-0 after another Hartman TD pass).
