A running back who I think is valued just slightly higher than the aforementioned Quinshon Judkins is Blake Corum. He comes into the year with a little more respect on his side than Judkins which is why I think he would have a better chance to win the Heisman if it came down to the two running backs, depending on how different the stats are.

Corum was a legitimate Heisman contender during the 2022 season before an injury that forced him out a couple of games. He still managed to rush for 1,463 yards and 18 touchdowns on 5.9 yards per carry. He’s gotten better every year in Ann Arbor.

Which is why I think the 2023 season could be special for Corum.

OK, so I know he’s splitting carries with the just-as-talented Donovan Edwards, but that doesn’t mean his numbers are going to take a step back. Edwards will still find a way to get his touches, even if it’s in the passing game.

Corum is going to be a problem for Big Ten defenses once again this season.
