College football: 1 of these 8 players will win the Heisman Trophy in 2023
After watching how Jayden Daniels started his LSU career last season in the first couple of games, I thought the fit just wasn’t it. And then he got more comfortable.
The former Arizona State star finished his first season at LSU with 2,913 yards and 17 touchdowns with only three picks and a career-best 69 percent completion rate. If he continues to grow under Brian Kelly, he’s going to be one of the best quarterbacks in the country again. Heck, he’ll be one of the best players.
Oh, and the dual-threat had 885 yards rushing and 11 more touchdowns. He finished his first season with LSU with over 3,500 total yards and 28 touchdowns. Not bad.
But I expect more out of him.
Daniels could very well be the best dual-threat in the nation not named Caleb Williams heading into the season and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get an invite to New York. He’s talented enough to be there.
