Notre Dame vs. Tennessee State: How to watch, odds, injuries, weather, series history
By Jim Lynch
After a big win for the Irish against Navy, the Irish will head back home to try and have a repeat performance. Saturday’s Notre Dame vs. Tennessee State won’t draw nearly the same attention, but Irish fans will want to see more growth.
This will be a historic game in the history of the Fighting Irish. Tennessee State is the first HBCU to visit South Bend as well as the first FCS opponent. So even though the odds favor the Irish, hopefully the Tigers can make a game out of it.
This is Eddie George’s third season as coach of TSU, so far he has a 9-13 record. Marcus Freeman is entering his second season as head coach of the Irish, up to this point he is 10-5.
All eyes will be on Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman as he makes his home debut as a part of the Irish. Hartman had an incredible game against Navy completing 19-of-23 passes and throwing for 251 yards.
