Texas didn’t exactly get off to a scorching start to the 2023 season but the Longhorns figured things out quickly to cruise to a 37-10 victory over Rice.

Quinn Ewers looks lighter and more athletic after shedding some offseason weight, but the question is whether the offense will be able to replace Bijan Robinson.

The Longhorns have the right pieces on both sides of the ball but a lot is going to come down to the coaching from Steve Sarkisian. If he can’t lead this Big 12 favorite to the promised land, there’s a chance his future is put in question.
