Everyone around college football knows that there’s one fanbase that may travel better than any other. Nebraska football fans are some of the most loyal in the sport.

And they usually travel very well.

For the biggest game of the early season, Nebraska fans made sure to hit the road and show up in numbers. They didn’t have to travel as far as they had to last week to Minnesota, and it showed.

Just check out this sea of red at Folsom Field in Boulder on Saturday.

I mean, that’s just incredible. Another tweet from someone at the game said it’s about a 65/35 split between Colorado and Nebraska fans, respectively. That’s something you don’t see with every fanbase.

What makes this even more impressive is the fact that tickets were crazy expensive, going for around $400 apiece. That clearly didn’t stop Nebraska fans from scooping them up.

And this is the biggest game Folsom Field has seen in years.

Nebraska football fans can’t be stopped

With multiple factors working against Nebraska fans in this one, it didn’t stop them from showing up in droves on Saturday afternoon.

  • This is Colorado’s home opener.
  • This is the biggest game Colorado has had in years.
  • The hype in Boulder is through the roof.
  • Tickets are going for an arm and a leg.

And yet Nebraska fans still showed up and packed nearly half the stadium. Name another fanbase that would show up like this after losing their season opener in heartbreaking fashion.

You can’t.
