Colorado football is the most interesting team in the nation to start the 2023 season.
The Buffaloes have begun a new era under Deion Sanders after years of turmoil and the first-year head coach is already receiving unprompted shots left and right from opponents and rivals.
This week, his Buffaloes are getting set to face Colorado State in an in-state rivalry battle with a 3-0 start to the season on the line for Colorado. Who could have seen that coming?
Although the Buffaloes are going to be heavy favorites, Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell took a personal shot at his counterpart in Boulder. He was speaking on a radio show and said made a comment about Deion’s hat and glasses look on the sidelines.

Colorado State coach Jay Norvell on Deion Sanders' attire during interviews:
"When I talk to grownups, I take my hat and my glasses off. That's what my mother thought me.

Obviously these are fighting words for Deion Sanders and his guys as they’re well aware of what Norvell said.
Deion Sanders, Colorado football responds to Norvell
It’s safe to say that Norvell did himself no favors with the comments he made about Sanders.

“It was just gonna be a good game, but they done messed around and made it ... PERSONAL."
And away we go... 👀pic.twitter.com/5f96L1jBD2
Sanders is already using this as bulletin-board material for his team, stating that he was ready to have a good game between the two rivals but they had to go and make it personal.
(Insert about a million eyeball emojis)
This game wasn’t exactly on my radar before this whole situation, but I’m going to be glued to my TV when it ends and the two coaches meet at midfield and shake hands. Do you think Deion trolls Norvell or has something to say? Man, I hope so.
Colorado football is fun again.
