Colorado football: Game-tying TD a Heisman moment for Shedeur Sanders (Video)
Shedeur Sanders and Colorado football needed to go 98 yards for the chance to tie Colorado State and the Buffaloes did just that.
Just when you thought that the dream start for Colorado football in 2023 might come to an end, Shedeur Sanders has a Heisman Trophy moment.
Trailing Colorado State 28-20 and with the ball at the own two-yard line of Colorado football, Sanders put together a defining drive and a potential Heisman Trophy moment on a 45-yard touchdown pass to Jimmy Horn Jr. with just 46 seconds left on the clock.

Sanders then completed a two-point pass to even the score with the Rams who held a 28-17 lead with around eight minutes left in the game.
Colorado State was spectacular all night and no one expected the Rams to be able to compete with the 18th-ranked Buffaloes who looked spectacular in a road win over 15th-ranked TCU two weeks ago, as well as a 36-14 win over Nebraska last week.
Sanders did throw an interception against Colorado State and there have been some wild moments. Colorado State knocked out Travis Hunter with an injury earlier in the game, but Shedeur Sanders proved to have ice in his veins.
Because of that, Colorado football is heading to overtime against Colorado State and that 45-yard touchdown pass to Jimmy Horn. Jr might end up on the Heisman Trophy highlight reel of Shedeur Sanders if this magical carpet ride continues for the Buffaloes.
Colorado even got the ball back trying to give Sanders a shot at a Hail Mary. Instead, we’ll see if Shedeur Sanders has another Heisman moment in him during overtime.
Update: After two touchdown passes in overtime, Colorado football won 43-35.
