1. Notre Dame football will not only cover the spread, it will win

According to BetMGM, the Irish enter this weekend’s main event against the Buckeyes as a 3.5-point underdog (as of Sept. 18). This is a betting line that has shrunk considerably since the start of the season. Back in late August, Notre Dame was listed as a 7-point ‘dog.

This shift toward large sums of money being placed on the Golden Domers coupled with the proverbial ‘eyeball test’ from watching the Irish and Buckeyes respectively through three weeks of action, tells me that Notre Dame is primed for an upset win here.

As aforementioned, this edition of the Fighting Irish feels different from those during the Brian Kelly era, which saw Notre Dame routinely lose these high-profile matchups.

Compound these facts: College GameDay will be on campus, it’ll be the Irish Wear Green game (even the players will be sporting green jerseys and pants), and the kickoff is on prime time (7:30 p.m. ET on NBC), and you have yourself a perfect storm for Our Lady to ‘shake down the thunder’ in victory over No. 6 Ohio State.
