1. Nick Saban isn’t going down like this

Can you recall a time that Nick Saban was pushed up against a corner like this? It’s astonishing to listen to the doubts about Saban and the program by major media outlets since the Texas loss. While he’s made it known that he doesn’t care about the outside noise, I think we’d be naive to believe that it isn’t internal motivation for him, as well as the program.

Had Alabama beat the Longhorns and were still an undefeated team right now, I think Ole Miss would have a striking opportunity at an upset here. But they’re getting an over inspired performance from the Crimson Tide now. Texas poked the bear in the cage and just locked Ole Miss inside. I’m not only expecting Alabama to win this game, I’m expecting them to win big.

Much like Jalen Milroe, Nick Saban has some receipts to collect come Saturday night. This is a legacy defining game for the greatest to ever do it, against a team who lost five games last year.

This one is going to get ugly.
