Purdue football: 3 reasons the Boilermakers will upset Wisconsin
1. Hudson Card is going to feast on a struggling Wisconsin secondary
If I told you before the season that Wisconsin’s biggest weakness this year would be pass defense through three games, you probably would have called me crazy.
Wisconsin has long been known for having one of the best defenses not just in the Big Ten, but the country. And that has not been the case.
In fact, through three games, the Badgers are giving up around 275 passing yards per game while averaging just 236 of their own.
Hudson Card is going to have a field day.
The Texas transfer has looked solid so far this season, passing for 825 yards and three touchdowns with just one pick on 66 percent completions. He has been solid and he’s only going to get better the more he experiences he gets as a starter.
On Friday night, he’ll have a prime opportunity for a breakout game against a struggling secondary that has only faced one other solid quarterback and the Badgers struggled to slow him down.
Card is going for over 300 yards and two touchdowns against the Badgers on Friday night.
