College Football Rankings 2023: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 5
After the first quarter, it felt like more of the same we’ve seen with Michigan through three weeks, but the Wolverines were able to pull away from Rutgers 31-7 on Saturday afternoon.
It’s hard to really say that Michigan is the best team in the Big Ten right now after the Wolverines haven’t exactly dominated lesser opponents all season long. The Scarlet Knights might be better this season, but they took a surprising early lead on Michigan.
That just can’t happen.
Michigan scored 31 straight points to finish the game with a comfortable win, but fans are hoping for an stress-free win this season and that just hasn’t happened enough. It might now that Jim Harbaugh is back.
JJ McCarthy had a solid game, bouncing back from his three-interception performance against Bowling Green but we still haven’t seen enough from Donovan Edwards this season.
The Wolverines should stay at No. 2 after this comfortable-ish win over Rutgers in Ann Arbor.
