Colorado football has been the hottest team in the country through three weeks to start the season, but the Buffaloes will face their toughest test on Saturday afternoon in Eugene.

The No. 19 Buffaloes will have their first Pac-12 contest of the season against the No. 10 Oregon Ducks in what should be a high-scoring affair between two explosive offenses.

The difference here will be which defense can make more stops.

Let’s get bold ahead of this massive ranked battle.

3. Shedeur Sanders passes for over 300 yards

A Dan Lanning-coached team dominant defensively to start the season? Say it isn’t so. Oregon has been as stingy as defenses can be through three games, allowing about 286 total yards per game.

Although Oregon has been one of the best defensive teams in the Pac-12 so far this season, it hasn’t seen a quarterback quite like Shedeur Sanders.

Hawaii and Texas Tech have solid quarterbacks, but Sanders is just a notch above those guys. He’s going to have a solid game because, well, he needs to in order to keep the Buffaloes in this game.

Do I think it’ll be enough to record a win? No, but Colorado will have to continue to pass while trailing the whole game.

Will this game help Sanders’ resume? As long as he doesn’t throw two-plus picks, it won’t hurt it. A blowout loss may damage the resume.

But hey, 300 yards against Oregon in Eugene is impressive.
