LSU football: 3 takeaways from thrilling win over Arkansas
It doesn’t get much better than the game we had Saturday night in Baton Rouge. LSU football pulled out the victory after trading leads with Arkansas all night long. Let’s see what we can glean for a thrilling SEC matchup.
1. This was an instant classic
A rivalry game. Nighttime in Death Valley. Jayden Daniels and KJ Jefferson going back and forth. Big penalties and controversy in big spots. This game just screamed “college football”.
The Battle for the Boot has delivered on countless occasions, and that was once again the case on Saturday night.
This game was headlined by an epic quarterback duel. Daniels finished the night 20-of-29 for 320 yards and four touchdowns, but Jefferson was on his heels all night. The Razorback passer was 21-of-31 for 289 yards and three scores of his own, but two interceptions proved to be a huge killer in a three-point game.
Both teams gained over 400 yards of offense, both teams were over 50 percent on this down, and both teams moved the ball at will all night.
