Notre Dame football has begun the season red-hot as the only team in the country with a 4-0 record to this point in the season. The Irish are trying to make it 5-0 on Saturday.

Ohio State comes to town as the No. 6 team in the country and the Buckeyes are actually fighting for some national respect. Tell me the last time you heard that phrase.

Although Ohio State will be playing with a chip on its shoulder, I believe Notre Dame will pull off a big win in South Bend. And here’s why.

3. Ohio State has looked beatable thus far

While Ohio State is coming off a 63-10 blowout of Western Kentucky, the Buckeyes have looked rather pedestrian this season.

Outside of that Western Kentucky win, the Buckeyes cruised to a sleepy 35-7 win over Youngstown State after beating Indiana in an ugly game in Week 1. The Buckeyes of old would have beaten both of these teams by 40-50 points, but maybe it’s just the growing pains of starting a new quarterback.

Whatever it is, the Buckeyes won’t be able to shake it off in their biggest game of the season so far, running out a first-year starter at quarterback on the road. Kyle McCord will make some major mistakes which will lead to a tough Week 4 road loss.

Maybe this will be the wake-up call that Ohio State needs.
