1. Ole Miss football will have Alabama on the ropes

Ole Miss is going to do what the last two Alabama opponents have done: the Rebels are going to have the Tide on the ropes.

Rewind to the Texas game. It looked like the Longhorns were the better team throughout but Alabama hung around and it took a flurry of late scores to put the Tide away for good. Texas had Alabama on the ropes all game long and delivered the knockout punch.

Last week, South Florida (not a typo) had the Tide on the ropes and even scratched its way to a 3-3 halftime tie with Nick Saban’s squad. The Bulls had Alabama on the ropes all game long but failed to deliver that knockout blow as they tired out and lost 17-3.

Ole Miss is going to have Alabama on the ropes like the previous two Tide opponents but, like USF, the Rebels won’t be able to deliver that knockout punch.

Alabama will survive the haymakers and pull off a big ranked win to stay alive in the playoff race and maybe even move back into the top 10.
