It’s been a perfect start to the season for Chip Kelly and UCLA football.

The Bruins are 3-0 on the year and ranked in the AP Top 25 and they have a prime opportunity to not only move up in the rankings but also make an early move in the Pac-12 standings with a road win over Utah.

Let’s get bold ahead of the Top 25 matchup in Week 4.

3. Carson Steele rushes for over 100 yards

Quite possibly the most underrated portal pickup of the offseason, Carson Steele has been a monster through the first three games of the 2023 season. The Ball State transfer has rushed just 30 times and he’s accounted for 243 yards and two touchdowns. Yes, that’s an impressive 8.1 yards per carry. You just don’t see that in college football.

He’s going to continue that success on Saturday afternoon.

You would think that Steele would have had a 100-yard game in a UCLA uniform with how effective he’s been with the ball in his hands through three games, but the closest he’s gotten was 84 yards on 12 carries against San Diego State. He also had 83 yards and a touchdown on five carries against NC Central last week. He’s going to put up a career-high on Saturday against Utah.

Steele will be relied on to establish a run to open up Dante Moore and the passing game and he’ll break off a few big runs and break 100 yards for the first time in his UCLA career.
