Ranking college football’s top 10 quarterbacks after Week 4
After four weeks of the college football season, we updated our college football quarterback rankings heading after a slight shakeup.
It’s crazy but we are already 1/3 of the way through the college football season. Most teams only have eight teams left and in another two weeks, the 2023 season will be halfway over.
Last week, we saw a number of important college football games. There were five top-25 matchups and the featured game was Notre Dame against Ohio State, as well as Colorado and Oregon.
Notre Dame was a couple of feet away from pulling the upset over Ohio State, while Oregon dismantled Colorado. In College Football Week 5, there are four top-25 matchups, and here is where our college football quarterback rankings following Week 4 and going into Week 5.
10. Dillon Gabriel, Oklahoma Sooners
Gabriel has been stellar for Oklahoma and was solid last week in the win over Cincy. Gabriel passed for 322 yards and a touchdown, as well as rushing for 23 yards and one more. He’s got 12 touchdowns for the season and ranks 11th in the nation in passing yards. Oklahoma takes on Kansas on Saturday and one reason the Sooners look legit has been the play of Gabriel.
9. Jayden Daniels, LSU
Don’t get mad LSU fans, but Daniels dropped just one spot from our Week 3 college football quarterback rankings. Daniels has four touchdown passes and one interception. That was his second interception this season.
LSU still won last week against Arkansas 34-31. Daniels threw for 320 yards and is very much a Heisman contender, but some other QBs did enough to pass him.
