1. It will be a shootout

With both teams struggling on defense, this game seems like an unexpected shootout to me. Purdue’s offense hasn’t really had major issues this season, and with the aforementioned issues from Illinois defense, I think Purdue will be able to get the offense going.

On the other hand, Illinois will find a spark on offense because of Purdue’s putrid run defense. Despite the struggles of quarterback Luke Altmyer, the Illini should be able to put up over 30 points.

No, this game will not be a typical Pac-12 or Big 12 61-55 type shootout, but the final score will be in the high 30s, which classifies as a high-scoring game in the Big Ten. The game itself is a toss-up, but whoever wins the turnover battle wins this one.
