1. The kickoff Time and atmosphere

The game between the Gators and the Wildcats will kick off at noon on Saturday, and the time couldn’t be worse for Kentucky. The Wildcats have had luck in the past few seasons against Florida at home. That might be because it is a sold-out Kroger Field crowd that has been tailgating all day and is loud at a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.

Although that could still be the case, a noon kickoff is not what Kentucky fans wanted.

This benefits Florida a lot. Earlier slated games are going to be less loud and powerful than a later kickoff, at least most of the time. Kentucky will want everything they can get to beat this Florida team and playing a later game certainly would have benefited the Cats. The primetime slot is what Kentucky wanted. They want to build the game up against their arch-rival Florida and beat them under the lights with a rowdy crowd that will rush the field when they win.

If it’s built up as just another SEC rivalry game at noon, it might bring down the Wildcats’ overall seriousness of the game to them. That can also be taken into account that they have won the past two meetings and might feel they deserve to win no matter what.

It will be a tightly contested matchup between these two teams this Saturday. Florida seems to have the upper hand at this time but Kentucky definitely can pull out another win from under the Gators’ feet. If Kentucky wins, it’ll be three in a row for the Wildcats.

We will see if Florida can break this new streak against the Wildcats this Saturday at noon.
