Maryland football: 3 bold predictions vs. Indiana in Week 5
By Brad Schultz
1. Taulia Tagovailoa throws 3 touchdown passes
Taulia Tagovailoa has already thrown three touchdown passes in two games this season, including last week’s game against Michigan State. The senior delighted the Maryland faithful when he announced he would forgo the NFL draft and return for his final season.
He is the Terrapins’ all-time leader in completions and passing yards and has shown no signs of slowing down this season, throwing eight touchdowns and 547 yards, while rushing for another touchdown. If he continues his hot performance, he’ll certainly join his brother Tua in the NFL.
Indiana has allowed opponents to throw for 176 yards this season, but they have yet to face a talented quarterback like Tagovailoa. That number will go up following this game.
As long as Tagovailoa stays healthy, the Maryland passing attack will continue to put up big numbers and potentially upset one of the top teams in the conference.
