2. These teams are reliant on the run

Although neither team was extremely run-heavy on Friday night, it appears to be the strength of each offense.

Neither of these quarterbacks are elite by any means and the big throws are not really there for either Kedon Slovis or Emory Jones. Slovis hit a couple of wide-open guys for touchdowns, but other than that, he struggles with accuracy and lacks big play ability.

Jones is essentially in the same boat. I saw a lot of dump-offs and short throws. He has some athleticism and ability to run, which BYU did a good job with for the most part.

Fortunately, the Big 12 is not known to have staunch run defenses, and if these teams are able to establish their running games they should be able to add a few more wins to their resume this season.
