Following a season-ending injury to Conner Weigman, it felt like Texas A&M football’s season was heading toward an ugly finish. The Aggies were 3-1 on the year, but they’d have to rely on backup Max Johnson the rest of the way and the uncertainty was frightening.

Well, the Aggies silenced some doubters on Saturday, beating Arkansas 34-22.

Johnson had himself a solid game and Texas A&M’s defense stifled KJ Jefferson and the Razorbacks, holding them under 200 total yards.

What’d we learn from Texas A&M’s win?

3. Le’Veon Moss is heating up

To start the season Le’Veon Moss had just 14 carries for 72 yards against the likes of ULM and New Mexico. It felt like he still wasn’t the clear RB1 that people were hoping to see.

Against Auburn, he had 97 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.

On Saturday against Arkansas, he broke the 100-yard mark for the first time this season, going for 107 yards on 17 carries. That means he’s over 200 yards and a touchdown over the past two weeks and he’s only carried the ball 32 times.

Moss is starting to look like that workhorse back for the Aggies and a guy they can rely on to pick up big yardage on the ground. He’s heating up, folks.
