ACC Power Rankings: Cards crack top 25, Duke loses on late touchdown

3. #14 North Carolina Tar Heels (4-0, 1-0): No one is talking about the Tar Heels. They are still undefeated, and Drake Maye is one of the best quarterbacks in the country. They won the conference opener against Pitt. It seems like many are waiting for them to be tested.
The Tar Heels have three straight home games, one against #17 Miami.
2. #25 Louisville Cardinals (4-0, 3-0): It’s about time the AP put some respect on Louisville’s name. The Cardinals enter the top 25 for the first time this season. Louisville’s favorite son, Jeff Brohm, has the Cards playing well. The combination of Jack Plummer and Jawhar Jordan has worked well thus far.
The defense has been outstanding so far, and — keep in mind — they don’t play Clemson, Florida State, or North Carolina. They have a challenging home game against #10 Notre Dame this weekend, so we’ll see how good they are.
1. #5 Florida State Seminoles (4-0, 2-0): The Seminoles got the week off to revel in their win against Clemson and lick their wounds a bit. The off week was an opportunity for Jordan Travis to rest his shoulder that seemed to get nicked against the Tigers. How will head coach Mike Norvell manage the rest of the schedule for FSU?
They have#19 Duke and #17 Miami as their two most challenging remaining games. Also, Florida might be down, but they play FSU tricky, no matter what.
