2. Kansas State’s rushing attack will gain 250 yards

The running game has tipped the scale since Christian Duffie came back for Kansas State football, albeit a one-game sample size. Not just that, the passing protection improved exponentially! It’s like the offensive line was going through the motions, and when Duffie came back, the superchargers were installed.

DJ Giddens went off for a career-high with 30 carries for 207 yards and 4 touchdowns, along with eight catches for 86 yards. Before that, Giddens and Treshaun Ward split the carries equally through the first three games.

You should expect the Wildcats to continue that dominance.

The Wildcats come into this matchup averaging 198.5 rushing yards per game (25th FBS, 4th BIG 12), while the Cowboys are giving up 137.5 rushing yards per game (66th FBS, 8th BIG 12). Against South Alabama, Oklahoma State surrendered a whopping 243 rushing yards, and that’s South Alabama, not precisely Power Five competition like the Kansas State Wildcats. Unless the Cowboys magically learned how to stop the run in their off week, expect much of the same. A massive rushing attack from The Wildcats.
